Welcome! I offer private cello lessons, guiding my students on their individual journeys of beginning, resuming, or advancing their musical studies. I work with each student one-on-one, generally every week, teaching foundational skills such as scales and arpeggios, intonation, sound production, and bow technique, as well as fostering their understanding of musicianship, interpretation, and expression through music. I also have experience with coaching chamber music ensembles, working closely with each group to improve their collaborative and individual abilities, and preparing them for performances.Watching my students become knowledgeable and fulfilled through learning the cello is extremely valuable to me as an educator, and growing their musical excellence and appreciation of the repertoire within and outside of classical music is vital to my practice. I’m always eager for the potential to mentor students of varying ages and levels.
